This site was created some time back, and incorporates Flash elements to provide a rich user experience.
The Auto Body Association of Rhode Island (ABARI) came to RI Multimedia with a need for a website that informs the motoring public of their rights, and to expose them to issues with the automotive insurance industry that affect the quality and price of work performed in the industry. We created sections for both of the site's target audiences, consumers and body shops. Key features include:
Member Listing: An interactive listing of member body shops.
Civic Engagement Area: Users may use a module powered by web services that lookup their government representatives. Links to key legislation and calls to action are provided.
Membership Application Form: An interactive application for that body shops in Rhode Island can use to electonically submit their information.
Flash is a technology that was a standard for professional web developers, and offered excellent effects such as animation and video. However, with the rise of Apple products such as iPads and iPhones, Flash quickly became a "dead" technology. Flash content is not able to play on these devices. For this reason, RI Multimedia now recommends replacement of Flash-based websites.
We now create all of our sites using responsive web design using pure HTML5 and CSS. This move towards the newest technologies ensure proper rendering on all browsers and mobile devices, yet retains a modern user interface!
See the sections in the site about Responsive Web Design for more details on our current offerings.
